Planned Maintenance

Commercial Electrical Maintenance Programs in Brisbane

A programmed maintenance schedule turns electrical compliance and repairs into a predictable, documented routine. CGE Electrical & Communications plans the inspections, attends on schedule, records what we find, and gives you a clear repair plan — across Brisbane & South East Queensland.

How It Works

A Program Built Around Your Building

Most electrical failures give warning signs long before they cause a shutdown — and most compliance breaches are missed simply because nobody was tracking the dates. A CGE maintenance program covers four things: scheduling the inspections you are required to do, finding defects while they are still small, keeping records that stand up to scrutiny, and planning repairs before they become emergencies.

Scheduled inspections

We build a calendar around the intervals that apply to your site — emergency and exit lighting every six months, switchboard and safety switch testing every two years, test and tag at five — and book visits in advance, so compliance never arrives as a surprise.

Defect identification

Every visit is an inspection, not just a test. Faults are logged against the asset, rated by risk and photographed, so you know what is unsafe now, what should be quoted this quarter, and what can wait.

Service records

Each attendance produces a written record: what was tested, the results, defects found, work completed and the technician who attended. Records stay against the site and are available whenever an insurer, auditor or committee asks.

Repair planning

Defects are grouped into a prioritised repair plan with itemised quotes. Planned works get approved and scheduled in advance instead of being discovered during an emergency call-out.

What We Schedule

Typical intervals for the services we program. Your actual schedule is set by the equipment on site, its environment and the standards that apply to your building.

What You Receive

Reporting You Can Act On

The value of a maintenance program is the paperwork as much as the work. Every attendance is documented, so you always know what condition your electrical infrastructure is in, what has been spent, and what is coming next.

Reports are written in plain language and include photos — suitable to forward straight to a building owner, committee, tenant or insurer without rewriting.

  • Written service record after every attendance
  • Photographs of defects, damage and completed work
  • Itemised quotes before any repair work begins
  • A defect register rated by safety risk
  • Compliance test results with pass or fail detail
  • A prioritised repair plan you can budget against
  • Asset schedules for switchboards, lighting and equipment
  • A single point of contact for the life of the program
Where We Run Programs

Single Sites to Multi-Site Portfolios

Commercial premises

Offices, retail and warehouses with a mix of tenancy and base-building plant. Visits are scheduled outside peak hours to keep your operations running.

Industrial facilities

High-use power, machinery circuits and switchboards. Programs include thermographic scanning and shutdown coordination with your maintenance team.

Body corporate & strata

Common property, shared services and statutory compliance, coordinated directly with onsite managers and reported in a format committees can approve.

Why Program It

Preventative Beats Reactive — Every Time

An unplanned failure costs more than the repair: lost trading hours, after-hours call-out rates, emergency procurement and — on common property — unhappy residents and a committee asking why it wasn't picked up earlier.

  • Fewer after-hours call-outs and unplanned outages
  • Compliance dates tracked and evidenced
  • Repairs budgeted and approved in advance
  • Assets replaced on condition, not on failure

Booked in advance

Attendances are scheduled for the year, so you can coordinate access and staff.

Defects caught early

Small faults are found and quoted before they turn into failures.

One team, whole building

Electrical, security and data servicing from the same licensed team.
